Black Birch Homes and Design is owned and operated by husband and wife team Brooks and Jill Rolling. We believe every home deserves a hands-on approach. Resulting in the highest quality, value-driven, and beautifully designed home, Black Birch Homes and Design is a customer-focused builder. We are committed to high level responsiveness, quality and reliability that meet and exceed the needs of our customers resulting in long-term relationships. Brooks Rolling
Owner, Builder, Realtor
Brooks, an Iowa native, has over 20 years of experience in construction. After graduating from Simpson College, he proceeded directly into the construction industry. He started his career with a reputable metro builder and helped grow the company from 20 homes to over 200 annually. Brooks ability to develop long term relationships with vendors and contractors directly result in value for our clients. His vast knowledge of the business translates into creative, high quality homes with attention to budget and timeline. He is part of the process from beginning to end and is known to produce results beyond expectations. Brooks is a member of the HBA and actively involved in real estate as a realtor with Remax Concepts.
Jill Rolling
Owner, Designer, Marketing
Jill has over 10 years of experience designing new construction homes. Her keen eye for design and attention to detail help clients create their dream home. Each and every home she designs include personalized touches and unique features that set them apart from other new construction homes. Her involvement in each home begins at planning, spans through design, selections and extends to the final decorating touches.
Susan Parrino
Office Manager & Accounting
Susan has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. She loves being behind the scenes making sure the building process is a smooth and enjoyable experience for buyers. Susan and Brooks have worked together since 2012 and she feels truly blessed to be with Black Birch Homes and Design. Originally from Illinois, Susan and her family moved to Iowa in 1997. She has two children and five grandchildren keeping her busy!
Caroline Huebner
Birch Design Co. Designer
Caroline has worked 5 years in the new construction industry. Day to day she works with Jill and learns from her expertise and experience. Caroline's passion and eye for home design helps bring her E-Design client's visions to life. She was born and raised in Altoona, Iowa where she currently lives with her husband and 2 kiddos, Colbi and Henry.
Nick Lashier
Field Superintendent
Nick has 10 years experience working in multiple areas of residential construction. He is on-site throughout the entire building process ensuring houses are on schedule. Nick meets with trades during the process confirming all aspects of the build are executed. Originally from Waukee, Nick is married and has one daughter.
